A typical traditional setting holds the center stone securely in place using prongs or a metal rim around the stone. In a tension setting, the center stone appears to be floating, as the stone is held in place by compression force. Buying a tension ring is like buying a collectible. You are buying a truly unique piece of collectible that will stand out in any jewelry collection.
Although a tension ring may appear fragile, a tension setting is extremely durable when securing the stone using the appropriate methods. With traditional settings, prongs break and go unnoticed, compromising the security of the stone.
We recommend visiting a reputable jeweler to find your finger size. A professional jeweler will have ring sizers you can try on to determine your exact finger size.
Determining your exact finger size is crucial when purchasing a tension ring. Most traditional rings can be resized to fit your finger. With tension rings, any sizing is limited. Due to their unique design, tension rings should not be stretched, cut, or filed. These methods will compromise the strength of the tension setting. OVAKI specializes in custom jewelry. We believe each piece is special and unique to the individual wearing it. One popular customizable option is applying different alloy colors to certain parts of the ring (i.e., top half white gold, bottom half rose gold). We can add engraving to the tension ring as well. All OVAKI jewelry pieces are engraved with a unique serial number. Each of our jewelry pieces comes with an authenticity card specifying all the details of the item. This card ensures you are receiving an authentic OVAKI piece.
Most OVAKI designs include diamonds with a minimum average clarity of VS and a minimum average color of G.
OVAKI tension rings do not include the center stone. We understand customers have different tasted and needs and we want the customer should pick and choose the size, clarity, cut, and color of the stone making it a one-of-a-kind experience.
All OVAKI tension rings are crafted using only the finest quality materials – 14k, 18k, and platinum alloys.
Due to its unique design, all OVAKI tension rings are made-to-order. Please allow 2-3 weeks for shipping
Tension jewelry manufacturing required specific skills and techniques and should only be manufactured by highly skilled artisans with experience in tension jewelry manufacturing.
